I hope your first response was NEVER, because that is the correct answer. Unfortunately, not everybody agrees, including a company who considers themselves the industry “leader” of software for the metal treating industry.
It’s really a sad commentary of individuals who feel the need to use juvenile and slanderous statements to protect their fiefdom. In our instance, all it really does is highlight their desperation.
All non-monopolistic companies have competitors, and competition is GOOD for any industry. Competition causes companies to stay on their toes and innovate to keep their corporations viable. Customer satisfaction should always be at the top of their list of necessary requirements for growth.
We all have competitors, but it’s how we react to the competition that makes all the difference. We can use it to drive our organization to rapidly adapt to customer needs by innovating new solutions, providing forward thinking and strategic partnerships, and leading the way into technology and platforms that are the future for our customers. Or, we can dig trenches, lob “bombs” and generally operate under the paradigm of scaring existing and prospective customers.
How you choose to manage your private organization is up to you. For Throughput|Bluestreak, we will continue to operate under the philosophy of partnerships, innovation, and striving to give our customer-partners the best quality and leading-edge solutions for service based manufacturing. We hope you will join us.
