Q: What a claim! Bluestreak has the tools to help capture the captive market! You say the users of Bluestreak are capturing market share! Just what is Bluestreak, anyway?
A: Bluestreak is a suite of three distinct but integrated software modules designed specifically for the commercial heat treater. The software is browser-based and is best used as SaaS, or Software as a Service.

Q: OK. I’ll bite. What are the modules?
A: The first module is “Bluestreak – QTI,” or Quote through Invoice. It is structured to provide a remarkably easy work order system that includes: quoting, work orders, certifications, shippers, and invoices. The second module, “Shop Floor” provides real time, on-line order status for internal users. And finally, “Customer Portal” is your web link to your customers. Here, you determine what information you wish to display to your customers on-line in real time.

Q: Who is capturing market share?
A: For one, Therm-Tech of Waukesha! Located in the Midwest region, Therm-Tech has a twenty-five year history and is currently the leader in regional sales. They have experience four consecutive record months, and the increase from July 2007 to July 2008 is forty percent. At the other end of the spectrum, Coleman Commercial Heat Treating is a one-man shop located in Memphis, Tennessee. Here is what the owner, Mick has to say: “My biggest increase in sales has come from the refinery business. While this is not directly related to Bluestreak, I honestly don't think I could have managed the increase without it! This is mainly due to almost every order requiring a certification. Yes, I did it in the past but not near as efficiently and certainly not near as professional looking. It also may have increased my confidence in being able to perform these types of jobs and quoting on these types of jobs, on a daily basis.” Mick’s sales are up 50% and he remains a one-man shop!

Q: That is impressive. In what ways does this lead to “capturing the captive” market?

Q: Interesting, let me make sure I understand. For at least two commercial heat treaters, Bluestreak has played a significant role in increasing sales and market share. One shop is quite large and the other shop just has one employee, its owner. Therefore, size does not matter, right?
